Client Testimonial: Gigi Jones

Gigi Jones was a student at Virginia Tech who grew up in the DMV area. Gigi seeks to challenge her physical and mental strength continually. Read her first-hand account on why she keeps coming back to Sculpt Studio and the workout she loves most!

“I have tried out other challenging fitness classes like cardio-focused boxing or high-intensity yoga, but nothing is the same. When you come to Sculpt Studio, it’s all about you and your body."

What do you love about The Lagree Method at Sculpt Studio?

I can focus on fine-tuning the smaller movements that engage the tiny muscles I didn’t even know existed. Each class is a new opportunity for me to push myself a little bit harder than I did in the class before. I know that each class is strengthening my overall coordination, control, and core.

What is your workout motto? How does Sculpt Studio help you live out that motto?

My go-to motto is mind over matter. This motto means so much to me because when I am balancing on the Megaformer with sweat dripping near my eyes and my lower body muscles shaking from the workout, the only thing that keeps me committed is thinking to myself, “mind over matter, Gigi.” We are so much stronger than we think! Our triceps are capable of those extra two reps, and our quads can handle the extra five seconds of holding. You are prepared for that next level of fitness experience.

What do you want the world to know about Sculpt Studio?

Going to Sculpt Studio is more than just a physical, fitness experience. For me, it’s also about empowerment. Being able to support a local female-owned business truly makes a difference to me. Sculpt Studio owner, Mary Farber, is a figure of motivation. Not only in physical strength but in her ability to juggle running a business, instructing classes, and being a mother. She is unstoppable both on the Megaformer and in the office.

Can you describe the environment at Sculpt Studio?

“The enviornment is irreplaceable. When you’re serious about committing to your health and wellness, then I believe fitness should be personal. Mary and the instructors welcome you by name and can modify fitness techniques that meet my specific needs.

At Sculpt Studio, each of us can empower ourselves physically, enable each other with support…”

The environment is irreplaceable. Truth is, there are a few boutique fitness studios that feel more about the post-selfie opportunities. Sculpt Studio is noticeably rooted in Bethesda. I’m not just a face in the crowd.

When you’re serious about committing to your health and wellness, then I believe fitness should be personal. Mary and the instructors welcome you by name and can modify fitness techniques that meet my specific needs. I love that each class attracts a diverse group of men and women, sometimes strangers who feel like friends – all sweating it out together for an intense full body 50-minute class.

What else do you have to say about Sculpt Studio?

The attributes that attract this workout are traits that reflect the mentality within the DMV area. After leaving and coming back from school, I realize how motivating this area can be. I look forward to graduating and coming back home because there is no other place (or workout) like what is offered in the DMV.

Washington D.C. and the surrounding area caters to those in power and those who seek it.

“The Hill” is not the largest or tallest or flashiest city yet operates some of the world’s most powerful institutions. The District of Columbia is iconic for it’s energizing leadership and force. So it is no surprise that D.C. ranks as the ‘no.1 fittest city for 2018’ according to the Washington Post.

Similar to the area, Sculpt Studio’s Lagree Fitness Method is performed based off of results. With careful instruction, the Megaformer machine is designed to help you achieve a full body workout in each 50 minute class. Effective, efficient, and powerful; you could say the Sculpt Studio’s fitness program is for the people living in the DMV.
